The Reliant Robin space shuttle
In the craziest stunt the cast and crew of Top Gear have ever performed, they decided to see if they could turn a Reliant Robin into a NASA style space ship.
A little clever welding and engineering and the car soon had a fuel tank, rocket boosters and even wings. Renamed the Reliant Orbital, it was lifted on the launch pad and took off with great fanfare. But after a technical malfunction the Reliant wouldn't detach from the fuel tank. It plummeted to the ground in an awesome explosion.
