But Michael Mann is never going to top this – Robert De Niro as the unflinching master thief Neil McCauley with Al Pacino as the cop Vincent Hanna hot on his tail. It all culminates in some of the greatest action ever put on film.

McCauley takes the bank down for millions and walks out of the door just as Hanna's force arrive. Cue the most realistic and heartpounding city street gunfight on celluloid and it's spearheaded by two acting titans. The cast were given weapons and tactics training by the legendary Andy McNab.
