More than 10 years after leaving Spin City and after more than 20 years after diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, Michael J. Fox is set to make a big come back.
NBC, a US television network has recently confirmed that the 51-year old actor will make a new comedy series that will start in late 2013.
The Back to the Future star is said to be working with Director Will Gluck and writer Laybourne; the same people behind hit series Arrested Development and Cougar Town. Based on initial reports, Fox will play the role of a husband and a father of 3 children with Parkinson disease.
In May 2010, Fox told ABC news that he’s using a new drug regimen that effectively helps him get his Parkinson’s disease under control.
Fox said about his new show: "I'm extremely pleased to be back at NBC with a great creative team and a great show."
On the other hand, Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment is pleased with the project. He said: "[Fox is] utterly relatable, optimistic and in a class by himself."
"We are thrilled that one of the great comedic television stars is coming home again."
