Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied have tied the knot at a romantic starlit wedding on August 4.
The 'Black Swan' Oscar winner and the father of her child exchanged vows in a private Jewish ceremony. The occasion was held in a private home located in the quaint cliff side coastal town of Big Sur in California.
Big Sur, located alongside the Pacific Coast Highway, is well-known for its breathtaking view of the Santa Lucia Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
A friend of the actress said earlier this year in an interview with In Touch magazine that Big Sur is one of Natalie’s favourite places. “Whenever she needs a break from LA, she goes there.”
Only 60 guests, all of whom were the couple’s closest friends and family, were invited to the occasion. The couple wanted the event to be a laid-back and ‘relaxed’ affair.
Indeed, Natalie’s friend had said in the past: “They’re not sending out invites. Natalie may not even buy a new dress.”
Natalie, who won Best Actress at the Oscars for psychological drama film 'Black Swan', met choreographer Benjamin on the set of said film. The couple got engaged in December 2010. In June 2011, Natalie gave birth to their first child Aleph.
