Nicole Sherzinger’s relationship with racing driver Lewis Hamilton took a difficult turn when the latter was found enjoying a late night hotel room party with several women.
Despite this, Nicole Sherzinger has revealed that they are back together, although she admitted that the recovered relationship is going to be a ‘work in progress’.
Nicole, who is currently a judge on The X Factor, recently posed for Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine. In the background interview for the issue, she opened up about her relationship.
Nicole seems positive about their relationship, saying that she and Lewis are ‘kindred spirits’ and are connected by their hearts. “Me and Lewis are from similar upbringings, so we share a similar outlook.”
“Ultimately, you want to be with someone you can be yourself around. My grandma taught me the person you want to be with isn’t going to be Prince Charming – it’s going to be the person you’re going to be able to work on a relationship with.”
Despite her apparent devotion to the relationship, Nicole also said that she works hard at maintaining her own identity. She says it is important to find a balance between being nurturing and being independent.
Nicole also talked about her role on The X Factor UK during the interview. She revealed her secret to success on the show: “I’ll make sure I continue to give 110% of me but not wear my heart on my sleeve as much.”
