2012 is definitely an exciting and fruitful year for Olympic hero Mo Farrah. After winning two gold medals in the recently concluded 2012 Olympics, he welcomed his first biological daughters with wife Tania.
The couple named the twins Aisha and Amani. When asked how they came up with the names, the 29-year-old joked with the Mail Online: "We wanted some free stuff from Armani."
However, he later revealed that they’ve chosen Muslim names. He added: "Twin one, the eldest, is Aisha. Twin two is Amani."
Although the twins arrived weeks after the 2012 Olympics, their presence and support were already felt not just by Farrah but fans as well, as the runner and his heavily pregnant wife was photographed on the tracks before winning the 10,000m.
At the time, Farrah said that he vowed to win one gold medal for each of his twins, as quoted by the Mail Online: “If I only had one, the other would feel left out.”
Beaming with pride and joy, Farrah posed for a picture for ‘Hello! Magazine’ showing off not just the two gold medals on his neck, but also his bundles of joy.The runner said 2012 is definitely an incredible year for him and his family.
“I dreamt of becoming an Olympic champion and to do it twice in your country with a stadium of 80,000 people shouting your name, it doesn’t get better than that,” he added, as quoted by The Telegraph.
“Then for my wife to have two healthy little girls, well there’s no way to describe it.”
