A documentary featuring Paris Hilton has been axed from the tube after the heiress made controversial comments about Aids.
The documentary, which was shown on gay-focused US TV network Logo, saw Paris sharing a cab ride with a friend earlier this month.
During the New York cab journey, Paris was recorded as saying:
“Gay guys are the horniest people in the word... Most of them probably have Aids... I would be so scared if I was a gay guy... you'll, like, die of Aids.”
The comments were made public, which prompted Paris to publicly apologize for them.
The groveling apology, however, did not seem to work for the Logo channel chiefs, who pulled the plug on the show, which was originally meant to start airing in the US twice a week.
The move was confirmed by a representative for the network, who said that the documentary has been ‘removed from the schedule’.
This is not the first time that Paris Hilton was recorded in compromising situations. In 2003, a sex tape of Paris was released shortly before her TV reality show The Simple Life was released.
