Peter Andre has had a tough run in the love department lately. After his heartrending divorce with Katie Price and a short-lived relationship with Elen Rives, Andre was close to giving up on love.
Now, however, the singer is a picture of happiness as he talks about his new girlfriend Emily MacDonagh.
Emily, a 23-year-old medical student, is 16 years younger than Peter. This has caused some people to raise their eyebrows at the relationship.
Andre, now 39, thinks the age gap is good for him, saying that Emily ‘makes him feel young’ after he ‘went through a stage where (he) was feeling (his) age’.
“I didn’t even think about the age gap, to be honest. We’re not bothered by it.”
Peter also loves the fact that Emily is not in the entertainment business. He said: “I think it’s just really refreshing to be with someone who is in a completely different world and you can actually have a conversation with.”
Peter and Emily went through 18 months of being friends before they started dating romantically. Now, the relationship is said to be getting serious. Peter himself said: “It’s still early and I really don’t want to say too much as I’m frightened to jinx it. But I think it’s going in the right direction.”
