Known to the world primarily because of her sister’s wedding, Pippa Middleton tries to move away from the shadow of the Duchess of Cambridge by starting a career as an author.
The 29-year-old fashionista had her first book launch on Wednesday in London. Eight camera crews were present as she launched her party planning guide ‘Celebrate: A Year of British Festivities for Families and Friends’ at a Fulham book store.
Changing outfit four times during the event, Pippa saidm, as quoted by the Mail Online: “It's incredibly exciting and I feel really lucky to be in this position to publish a book so that's great.
“It has been a crazy couple of years since my sister's wedding but it's had its upsides and downsides I just feel really fortunate to be able to build a career as a writer.”
Reportedly, Pippa mentions sister Kate several times in her book as she recalls some of her happiest childhood memories. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why some critics slam the author for cashing in on her royal connections.
Pippa on the other hand, acknowledges the inevitable effect Kate will have on the book sales. Retail experts predict that this will be a Christmas best-seller.
