Prince Harry was in London recently where he gave a speech at the WellChild Awards. The event marked his first public appearance since naked photos of him partying in Las Vegas were published by US media.
Before the event began, a six-year-old boy named Alex Logan told ITV News that he would tell the Prince “I’m glad you’ve got your clothes on”, but when the two met in person, Prince Harry beat Alex to it.
The Prince lightheartedly wagged his finger at the little boy and said, as quoted by The Telegraph: “You keep looking up at your mum. It looks like you’re dying to say something but you’re worried she’ll tell you off.”
The Prince, now 27, then revealed that he’d heard about what Alex wanted to tell him. He playfully told the little boy according to The Telegraph: “I heard you were on ITV earlier and you said something cheeky but let’s not talk about that here.”
Alex, who hails from Lincoln, was diagnosed with acute leukemia when he was three. He made up for attempting to tease the Prince by wiping his favourite toy Hookie, a penguin, all over Harry’s head.
Harry also bonded with five-year-old Hope Hillis, who gave him two sloppy kisses on his face, and Holly, a little girl born prematurely at just 1 lb. 9 oz. and has been through over 50 operations.
