Gary Lineker
His international goals-to-games ratio remains one of the best in British football and he is regarded as one of the all-time best English strikers. Going overseas from Everton in 1985 saw Lineker enjoy a profitable spell with Barcelona where he helped the side win the Copa del Rey in 1988 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1989. He scored an impressive 21 goals in 41 games during his first season with the Spanish side.
