Rugby World Cup 2011: Josh Lewsey on England
Two wins from two games, seven tries scored, one conceded and top of group B.
When you put it like that, things seem pretty good for England at Rugby World Cup 2011, but in reality the situation is a little different.
The team have been criticised for making too many errors, and not performing well against Argentina and Georgia.
Despite beating the Georgians by 48-10 last weekend, there is still a feeling that there were more tries on offer.
Players such as James Haskell have even gone public in their criticism, with the back row forward saying
"It’s frustrating, at one point I saw we were 8-1 down [on the penalty count] and you can’t even begin to play your game if every time you do something there is a penalty.
"It’s just back foot, tackle, get up, penalty. We’re not going to brush this under the carpet and walk around saying we’ve got two wins, everything is hunky dory, that’s the important thing to stress."
England’s next game is against Romania on Saturday. If other results go their way, a win could see them secure first place in the group with a game left to play.
