The greatest sports comebacks
Jennifer Capriati
At just 14-years-old, the tennis ace became the youngest player to reach the semi-finals of the French Open. Two years on, Capriati won Olympic gold in Barcelona but pressure of the tour forced her to take a break. She concentrated on her academic studies instead and then hit the headlines in 1994 when she was arrested for marijuana possession.
But Capriati rejoined professional tennis in 1996 and persisted, reaching the No 1 rank. She went on to defeat Martina Hingis at the 2001 Australian Open winning her first Grand Slam.
