His name was went down in Ashes history after the series of 1932-33, when his short and fast bowling skills helped to hold back the Australian side and escalate England to victory.
Using the Bodyline tactics, Larwood was one of the most debated players in the game, with officials suggesting that his method was too dangerous. He didn't play again but was idolised by fans across the country.
