Zach Galifianakis, who became known for celebrating some other groom’s wedding in 'The Hangover' films, has just celebrated his own wedding.
The actor, 42, has married his long-time love Quinn Lundberg, 29. The wedding took place at UBC Farm in Vancouver, Canada on Saturday. The couple opted for a private low-key affair.
A source said: “It was super private and intimate and only lasted about 30 minutes – everyone was out by 5pm.”
The ceremony was then followed by a reception, which was held at a nearby restaurant.
Celebuzz obtained a copy of the couple’s wedding invitation back in June, and it was, in the words of an insider, ‘very Zach’ as the comedian himself sketched a humorous drawing of the happy couple. He portrayed Quinn as a ‘stunning tall blonde princess’ while he ‘made sure he looked like a little troll’.
The couple also registered themselves at Anthropologie under the pseudonym ‘Paul Dummy’. However, donations to Lundberg’s Brooklyn-based grass-roots organisation will be an equally great gift for the newlyweds. The charity focused on victims of domestic violence and provides assistance for rural education in Malawi.
Quinn, the love of Zach’s life, is a former ballerina with a degree in international conflict resolution from Hunter College. She also volunteered for the UNICEF in Afghanistan, Africa, and Bosnia.
She seems to have influenced Zach strongly too, with him using his own gift of humour and artistic skills in one of the charity’s promotional videos. Zach also protested against a Mel Gibson cameo in the 'Hangover' sequel released last year due to Gibson’s history of reportedly beating ex-lover Oksana Grigorieva.
