Voice Recognition Devices to Detect Emotions
Voice-recognition devices will soon recognise our emotions as well.

In 2018, machines may do more than just communicate with us through voice – they will be designed so they can communicate the way humans do, allowing them to become more ingrained into our lives than ever. Experts also agree that in the future, they may also be able to recognise our emotions so they can truly engage with our lives.
A good example is Ford, which has integrated Alexa into its vehicles, allowing drivers to engage in a more intuitive way with their cars. With this feature, you can ask your car to play your favourite music or audiobooks or do your shopping while you’re driving. Of course, you can also use this feature to get directions.
This is radically different from the old hands-free approach. These modern voice systems are built around conversations and they can be used to get health advice from medical professionals, credit card application and even interact with council services. An example is AstraZeneca, where Alexa is used by manufacturing teams about standard operating procedures. At Nasa, they speak to Alexa if they need the conference room to be arranged in preparation for a meeting to save time.
