Pupils and Teachers will benefit from embracing IoT

By the year 2020, it is expected that the number of Internet-connected devices will reach 50 billion. However, we do not have to wait until 2020 because as early as now, connected devices are already in the market or in development. We now have smart car, connected homes, and businesses that rely on devices and technology that talk to each other in order to improve productivity and efficiency.
But how soon before our children or we attend a smart school? How will the Internet of Things eventually impact education in many countries?
Many schools in first world countries are now heavily investing in IoT and education-related technology. This will impact education in two ways: the students will learn faster and teachers will be able to do their job more efficiently. By using computers or tablets instead of taking notes, students can save time. They can also do their research outside of the library and conduct interviews for their research using VoIP technology. Teachers, on the other hand, can use modern technology to simplify the process of designing the curriculum, grading papers, and communicating with parents. By maximising their time, both teachers and students will be able to do so much more.
