Cage-fighter, Alex Reid, was held by police after they were called to his house in Essex over alleged acts of violence and entry issues.
Alex, former lover of Katie Price, shares his home with ex-Celebrity Big Brother star Chantelle Houghton, who he has an 11-week-old daughter with.
A spokesman for Essex Police explained that police were contacted around 1.30am this morning with reports of a disturbance at a property in Spital Lane, Brentwood.
The couple have reportedly been on and off since they met a year ago, with the 37-year-old fighter apparently staying with family at times this summer.
Alex has previously aired his concerns over their relationship, but as quoted by The Sun he wants things to work with Chantelle as he “love her to pieces. I want to be with her”.
As reported by The Mirror, Alex said: "But if we are killing each other, I don’t want that. You know, if we want to kill each other, any couple wants to kill each other from time to time, that’s quite normal.”
