Never say never: perhaps, this is something that Annie Lennox has learned after tying the knot for a third time after making a vow that she’ll never marry again after two failed marriages.
On September 15th, Lennox married Aids charity chief Dr. Mitch Besser reportedly in a low key wedding ceremony at a boat party on the River Thames.
Celebrity guests are said by some reports to have included American comedienne Ruby Wax as well as actor Colin Firth.
Based on reports, Lennox wore a floor-length white gown and a 1920s style headpiece. Meanwhile, the groom wore a simple grey suit and a pastel-coloured tie.
The bride took to Twitter to share her happy day. Posting pictures of her pink and white flowers, she said: “Wedding flowers: 15th September 2012.
The couple met through charity ‘Mothers2Mothers’, who help single mothers and their children who are afflicted with AIDS.
It is understood that Dr. Besser, who is believed to have two sons, was married at that time and it was his then wife, Debra Jackson, who filed for divorce after 28 years of marriage.
