Britney Spears says she's prepared to give up her career to become a full-time mother.
The pop babe, who announced she was pregnant with her first child last month, isn't keen on hiring a nanny and has now threatened to quit showbiz if she isn't able to take her baby with her when she works.
She is quoted as saying: "I wouldn't trust anyone to look after my child, and if that means the end of my career, then so be it."
Britney - whose unborn is thought to be a girl - announced her pregnancy by posting a message on her website.
The sexy singer, who married second husband Kevin Federline last September, revealed: "The time has finally come to share our wonderful news that we are expecting our first child together. Kevin and I just want everyone to know that all is well."
Britney, 23, has made no secret of her desire to start a family, saying: "I want to be a young mum. And that is my dream."
