The increasingly ability that machines have to do this will absolutely transform the world rapidly within the next few years.

In simple terms, a digital twin refers to a digital copy of a physical object, process, product or ecosystem. Digital twin technology allows us to try out any alterations and adjustments that would otherwise be too expensive or too risky to try on the real physical object. It also saves plenty of time in terms of traditional methods of trial and error and makes for excellent collaborative project prototypes.

 

In other words, digital twins help us see things and make alterations to them without needing to insert significant capital, waste valuable time or even meet up in person. As the world continues on its path to a more ‘home office’ friendly working environment, it seems set that digital twins become the next big thing.

Over the past few years, through operating systems like iOS and Android, we have seen a significant rise in human-machine interaction.
