Apple Watch Glucose Monitor?
Apple may put blood glucose sensors in Apple Watch Smart Band, reports have claimed.

Apple has plans to bring blood glucose monitoring to Apple Watch and launch a line of specialised function smart watchbands for the device, reports have claimed. According to the source, Apple has hired 200 PhDs for its health tech team to help curb the growing diabetes in the United States.
Reports on Apple non-invasive glucose monitoring sensors first surfaced in April and it has been reported that the company has been working on this technology for the past five years. Many industry experts are now currently working for Apple including Nancy Dougherty who was in charge of hardware at the transdermal medicine delivery company Sano, Ueyn Block who was director of optics and systems engineering at C8 MediSensors, and Chief Medical Officer at Masimo, Ravi Narasimhan who served as vice president of research at the biomedical sensor company Vital Connect.
However, some say that Apple’s non-invasive blood glucose monitoring sensor may not end up in the Apple Watch as the sensor will require FDA approval; something that Apple does not want to head down with its smart watch. Thus, it is likely that the sensor will end up in a smart band that can go through the FDA’s approval process without impacting Apple Watch release schedules.
