The ‘Friends’ actress have made waves in the hair industry in the 1990s when her famous ‘Rachel’ cut on the show was copied by girls worldwide.
Later on, Aniston became a model for L’Oreal’s shampoo line. And now, she has decided to fully venture into the hair care business as she invests as an equity partner in a company called Living Proof.
The actress has been named as the face of the brand and will become the central focus of its marketing and advertising campaigns.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Living Proof chief executive Jill Beraud said they chose Aniston because: "We believe that beauty and brains are the best formula. She (Aniston) represents everything we represent as a brand".
The actress will also be involved in the creation of new products and with package design.
In an official statement, Aniston said that her interest in the company was inspired by Living Proof’s science-driven approach.
"I have been approached many, many times (about this kind of deal)... You want to be part of something that's exciting and authentic. You can't get more interesting than these scientists... (I was) fascinated by the scientific approach".
