Former lovers Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan will reunite on the stage for a Christmas concert.
The star couple, who jumped to the top of the charts with their hit 'Especially for You' back in 1989, was originally planned to perform together last month for the first time in 23 years.
Unfortunately, heavy rain hampered the plans for the 80s Hit Factory concert, which was supposed to be held in London’s Hyde Park.
Fans were extremely disappointed by the cancellation of the show. Organiser Pete Waterman declared it ‘devastating for everyone’ involved.
Now, Waterman is not about to give up without a fight. He is currently planning on an indoor gig at London’s O2 scheduled for Christmas, and according to reports he is trying to persuade one of the couple to postpone travel plans for the holidays.
Waterman said: “We’ve just got to confirm one artist who is due to go home for Christmas, I’ll give you a clue there. I have to convince that artist to stay here until at least Christmas Eve.”
Based on the clue, the ‘artist’ who is not all set for the gig yet is Kylie, 44.
The Hit Factory concert will also feature Bananarama, Sonia, Rick Astley, Dead or Alive, and many other pop sensations from the 80s.
