Keith Richards wanted The Rolling Stones to star alongside him in the third 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie.
The legendary rocker plays the father of Johnny Depp's character, Captain Jack Sparrow, in the upcoming adventure film.
Richards wanted all his bandmates in on the act, but there were no parts for them.
A source told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "Keith wanted Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts to be in it, too. He was hoping they could be this vile pirate crew but the script didn't allow for it.
"He was disappointed but he still wasn't going to pass up the chance to play pirates with Johnny."
Richards, 62, was recently hospitalized with a brain haemorrhage and underwent an operation to drain blood from his brain after falling out of a coconut tree during a break from touring.
Work on the third 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film is already underway.
