Tom Cruise recently reunited with his daughter Suri for the first time since Katie Holmes filed for divorce.
The last time the father-daughter were seen together was in mid-June when Katie and Suri had flown to Reykjavik, Iceland to be with Tom. The actor had just wrapped up filming for his new movie ‘Oblivion’ and flew directly from California to New York overnight to be with his little girl.
The two were pictured walking into the Greenwich Hotel with Tom cuddling the 6-year-old and with Suri holding on to her dad with one arm and clutching a toy in the other. Tom’s sister Cass was also seen arriving at the hotel with some toys.
The pair, who has only been communicating through phone and video chat for the past several weeks, later emerged from the hotel after Tom changed outfits and Suri changed from flip-flops to flats.
There was no reunion, however, for Tom and Suri’s mom Katie as reports say the two did not have contact when Tom went to Katie’s apartment for five minutes to collect Suri.
According to Tom’s lawyer Bert Fields, the actor is a ‘family man’ and has been eager to be with Suri again. “Tom loves Suri very, very much, as he does his other two children. Tom is dedicated to his children. They are the centre of his world.”
Aside from the fact that they haven’t seen each other for several weeks, the reunion seems even more emotional following the minor car accident that Katie and Suri was recently involved in. It is not clear, however, whether the Ms. Holmes and her daughter were at the scene of the accident. It has been confirmed, though, that no one was reported hurt in the accident.
