Angelina Jolie says her estranged father is no more important to her than a stranger on the street.
The stunning actress, who hasn't spoken to her actor dad, Jon Voight, since he went on a talk show and begged her to seek help for "serious mental problems", said her strange relationship with him doesn't upset her.
The 29-year-old mum of adopted son Maddox revealed: "It doesn't make me feel sad at all. We always had a difficult relationship; we're not similar people and we're not friends. In an argument, we were always very much on opposite sides. But I don't hate him; I actually feel for him.
She added in an interview with Britain's You magazine: "He's not any more to me than a man who walks down the street. I'm an adoptive parent and so blood ties aren't what count."
