Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr may reunite as The Beatles.
The last remaining Beatles could reform for the opening or closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.
The pair are tipped to be involved in the London Games next summer, after Sir Paul hinted at talks with organisers on an American TV show.
The 68 year old star said: I met the guy who knows the guy whos going to ask somebody about it soon. I hear theres a rumour that I might be involved.
He added: I hear theyre planning this (The Beatles) sort of music.
A source told the Sun: Macca was just being coy about the details. He has been speaking to organisers and has said he'd love to be involved with the games in some way.
If the duo plays, it is reported that the late George Harrison and John Lennon could be represented by their children on stage.
Other acts like The Rolling Stones, Coldplay and the Spice Girls have all been rumoured to play at the ceremonies of the games.
The opening ceremony to the London Olympic Games will be held on July 27, 2012 and the closing ceremony will be held on August 12, 2012.
