Vanessa Layton-McIntosh is the seventh person to be evicted from Big Brother after her fellow housemates opted for her to go ahead of Makosi Musambasi.

The pair were unaware they had been chosen for eviction until the last moment after Big Brother producers played an elaborate hoax on the housemates.

It had been assumed Anthony, Craig and Kemal would come up against the public vote but all the housemates were to face the chop.

Once the public decided on Vanessa and Makosi, Davina told them the final decision would be left to the housemates.

Sat at the dinner table, all of the housemates had just 10 seconds to choose the evictee. In front of live cameras, five opted for student Vanessa; Kemal voted for Makosi.

An upset Vanessa said it had been "hard to deal" with listening to the housemates opting for her to leave.

As Vanessa left the house Makosi followed her up the stairs and tried to escape but was dragged back by Science.

Vanessa predicted Makosi would win BB.
