'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here' star Brian Harvey claims his life-threatening car accident happened because he ate too many baked potatoes.
Brian was left unconscious in intensive care for three weeks after his Mercedes rolled over him and fractured his pelvis, broke his ribs and punctured his lungs.
Rumours were rife the troubled 30-year-old star, who had been diagnosed as suffering from depression, had attempted to commit suicide after two previous failed attempts.
However, Brian has now refuted the claims, claiming he fell under the car as he leant out of the driver's door to be sick because he had eaten too many spuds.
He said: "A lot of people were going on about suicide attempts but this was definitely not one. You couldn't have done it if you tried. If you were going to commit suicide this is not how you would do it."
The reality TV star, who is engaged to stunning model Emma B, is currently recovering at his home, in Walthamstow, East London, but is bed-ridden because of a metal brace holding his pelvis together.
But Brian says he expects to make a full recovery and will eventually walk again.
