Cheryl Cole has hit back at a Daily Mail story which attacked her use of Twitter.
The fired US X Factor judge joined the social network in July and has since gained nearly 800,000 followers.
However, a piece on the newspapers website criticised her use of the micro-blogging site.
Asking, Is Cheryl Cole the least interesting celebrity on Twitter?, the article suggested that the Girls Aloud singers tweets would "send her followers to sleep".
Seemingly missing the point of Twitter, the piece says:
"It seems that the Promise This singer uses Twitter not only as a place where she can constantly tell her 'soldiers' how much she loves them but also uses it as a way of making statements about the current situations in her life.
"If she's not tweeting about the music she's listening to or posting pictures of herself in white fluffy slippers, it seems the Girls Aloud singer is inviting fans to ask her questions - but even this is enough to send followers to sleep."
The 28-year-old's management, Supersonic PR, were quick to defend the singer, tweeting:
"If @MailOnline think @CherylCole is boring on twitter why do they always run a story each time she tweets?!"
Cole herself then responded, hitting back at the newspaper, saying:
"I wouldn't mind but what an ill informed load of crap it is SMH.. 3 words.. Don't follow me *eggs* haha (sic)."
