The pop star is likely to be making a return to the Strictly judging panel in the next series, it has been confirmed.
A BBC spokesman said: "Alesha has been doing a first class job as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing and we look forward to having her back next year.''
There had been speculation that Dixon would be quitting the show after only one series to focus on her singing career.
But the star has assured viewers that she will be able to fit both jobs in to her hectic schedule.
Dixon, who rose to fame with girl group Mis-Teeq, said: ''The series has gone so quickly, I'll be quite sad when it finishes. I would love to do Strictly again next year.
''Obviously music is my first job, I'm making my second album and probably going to America but I can work round it so I can do both."
Dixon caused controversy earlier when she was drafted in to replace axed judge and choreographer Arlene Philips, amid a BBC shakeup.
However, despite receiving widespread criticism at the start of the series, the singer settled into her role.
Contracts will be signed closer to the start of the next series.
In related news, former EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy and her partner Vincent Simone became the latest couple to be voted of the dancing show after a dance off with Hollyoaks star Ricky Whittle.
