He wasn't even meant to be at the party and Syed Masood will be left wishing he'd not come at all as disaster strikes in Walford.
Syed will be left fighting for his life after a ceiling beam crashes down on top of him at his brother's engagement party.
In scenes to be shown from 4 April, Syed, played by Marc Elliot, arrives at his parents' restaurant, after mistakenly thinking he was welcome.
Syed was disowned by his parents after he revealed that he was gay and left his wife Amira for boyfriend, Christian Clarke.
He ends up going to the party with Christian, but when his parents spot him there, they demand that the couple leave.
An argument ensues, but the ceiling of the restaurant, Argee Bhajee, starts to collapse, showering the guests with dust and debris.
At first, Syed brushes off the dust and tells everyone he's ok, but then the beam above crashes down and falls on top of him, leaving him unconscious.
Tune into Eastenders on BBC One from 4 April to see if Syed will survive.
