Colin Farrell's infamous sex tape is to stay private - for now.
A Superior Court judge in the US has sided with the 'Alexander' star and ruled that the X-rated home movie - featuring him and former Playboy Playmate Nicole Narain - must not be made public for the time being.
The model - Playboy's Miss January 2002 - dated the Hollywood hellraiser three years ago.
She claims she has the right to reproduce, market and distribute the 14 minute tape, but Farrell says they agreed to keep the footage private as it would "irreparably damage his career".
Leodis Matthews, an attorney for Narain, said: "Sales of the videotape could represent significant income for my client.
"It would rival that of the notorious Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee sex tape."
A restraining order has been in place since July last year, temporarily blocking public release of the footage.
In January, stills and clips from the tape were briefly leaked on the internet.
Although Narain denied having anything to do with the errant footage, she did admit to meeting with the adult website company Internet Commerce Group and celebrity porn broker David Hans Schmidt.
