Adam Corbally has become the latest Apprentice hopeful to be fired by Lord Sugar, narrowly missing out on this year's final.
This week, the candidates were charged with creating an affordable luxury brand, with Corbally-led Phoenix choosing confectionery and Stirling going opting for male grooming products.
Jade Nash and Nick Holzherr teamed up with Adam and came up with Sweet Things, but in the end were blasted by Sugar for failing to come up with a proper business plan.
In the boardroom, Lord Sugar decided that Team Stirling triumphed overall, due to a professional pitch, sending Ricky Martin and Tom Gearing through to the final.
Called back to face Sugar, both Holzherr and Corbally thought Jade should be sent home, however it was ultimately Corbally who felt the ex Amstrad boss' wrath.
Sugar told 32-year-old Corbally that it was his time to leave the process, saying:
"You have impressed me in the manner in which you have thrown yourself into everything head first. That aggression, that ambition and that enthusiasm, that in itself in fantastic really, and you're a good salesman also.
"However, there are other areas that I have to consider, the shrewdness, the awareness, the getting the plot."
In the taxi on the way home, Adam said:
"I'm sad to be going home but I respect Lord Sugar. I've always been a doer not a talker, I never give up. Maybe me and Lord Sugar will meet again one day, you never know."
Nash, Martin, Gearing and Holzherr have all won a place in this year's final and face a grilling by Lord Sugar's aides as they present their business plans.
Catch the Apprentice 2012 final and see who will become Lord Sugar's business partner on 3 June on BBC One.
