Councillors in Framlingham have received proposals to install free public WiFi in the town city centre to boost prospects for businesses, residents and tourists alike.
Councillor Lesley Clouting said that the project is supported by the majority of residents.
“There are ongoing conversations happening at the moment for people to have their say,” she said.
“[It has got] over 90% support on social media.”
If the project pushes through, Ms Clouting said that there is “potential funding available” but admits that it is “only a possibility at the moment.”
She added that she personally supports the project because it would help the town’s local businesses and tourism industry. However, she stressed that the idea is still in the early stages and may take sometime before it can be realised.
