Saturday's episode of X Factor, the interminable reality TV talent contest, is brought to ITV's viewers from London and Manchester.

It will be the final round of preliminary regional auditions, and we can expect more fireworks from judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.

This week a singer called Madonna auditions for stardom, although it remains to be seen whether she has the talent of her famous namesake.

Meanwhile a contestant who got rejected from the show after his audition has called the show "a nasty sport", and he remains convinced that he is better than Justin Timberlake.

Damon O'Hara told the South Manchester reporter: "It's cruel putting people through it [X Factor] just for the laugh factor. We are being exploited.

"When I finally got to the audition that is shown on TV, Simon said I sounded good and he wanted to put me though.

"I can't remember what Louis said but he did not like it and he was in a bad mood."

In fact, Louis told the Timberlake wannabe: "You're not Justin."
