Scottish tech firm Motovate Ltd has invested £100,000 for the development of a software that would enable companies to offer shift work to in-house staff. It is geared towards revolutionising how businesses manage personnel and HR teams to reduce dependency on agency labour.
The software enables employers to determine the real-time availability of staff sorted by geo-location, view employee ratings by managers, offer training and rewards for app users and identify the number of vacancies.
The software has been developed in partnership with Business Gateway Glasgow and is supported by the Scottish Enterprise CAN DO Innovation Challenge Fund.
Motovate hopes to introduce the new platform to foreign markets to improve accessibility and drive efficiency.
CEO and founder Kenny Maclean said: “Innovation is about repurposing what’s already out there. That’s my main focus; repurposing a tool to deliver a new outcome.”
