McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari’s Formula One Championship, and leader Fernando Alonso crashed out together with two other racers on Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday just seconds after the race had begun.
Girlfriend and X-Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger could only look in terror as she watched the horrifying event.
Based on reports, the car of RomainGrosjean, Lotus’s French driver, flew through the air and triggered the four-car pileup.
Scherzinger was reportedly left terrified and shaken. However, she was relieved the moment she saw her boyfriend walk away unscathed.
The singer used Twitter to show support for his man saying: “We love and support you to the end babe...@LewisHamilton.”
Lewis on the other hand told the Mail Online: “Sometimes, bad days are there to remind us that we have good ones to look forward to. So here's to Monza! Onto the next one...”
The 27-year-old sportsman is looking forward to the next Grand Prix in Monza, Italy.
Meanwhile, stewards said that thorough investigation will follow after the race. They’ll also investigate Pastor Madonado’s Williams seemingly early jump-start.
It was Jenson Button who won the Belgian Grand Prix as the race continued despite the events.
