Nintendo have revealed their latest console peripheral - the Wii Speak.
The device enables in-game voice chat in selected titles and also offers a Wii Speak channel, so conversations can be held outside of games too.
The microphone attachment, the Wii Speak is designed to be placed on top of a television so that entire rooms of gamers can communicate with each other whether they live in your area or across the globe.
When users are chatting with the Wii Speak Channel, they will also see each others' Mii characters representing them on the television screen.
Only users who have traded Friend Codes can connect with one another using Wii Speak, making sure gamers' privacy and security is protected.
The Wii Speak accessory comes with a code that lets users download the Wii Speak Channel from the Wii Shop Channel at no charge.
The accessory is sold separately or can be found as a bundle with 'Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City' at select retailers.
The Wii Speak and 'Animal Crossing' will be released in the UK in time for Christmas.
