Sharon Osbourne is removing the gastric band that helped her shed 126 pounds.
Sharon - wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne - wants to have the band, which is designed to limit a person's food intake by reducing the stomach's capacity, taken out in December.
The 54-year-old star is turning to psychotherapy to find the underlying reasons for her weight issues.
She said: "I have to figure out why I do what I do to myself. I think I have some sort of self-destruction button."
Sharon admits she has a history of "overeating" and, despite having had the band since 1999, has gained a stone in the last year.
She said: "I keep trying to eat more and more, I'm a pig. If you eat too much, you throw up, then you eat more."
Sharon - who is a judge on hit British TV talent show 'X Factor' - has thanked her three children for supporting her through her weight problems.
She said: "My kids, their whole life, have seen me struggle with weight. They say, 'Now you need to spend time on your head'."
