Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster have named their new baby son Alastair Wallace Stewart.
The ageing rocker and his model fiancée picked the name Alastair to celebrate Rod's Scottish heritage - while Wallace is in memory of Penny's grandfather, who died in 2003.
A source said: "They were always sure of the baby's middle name but the first name proved a bit of a problem for them.
"In the end they chose Alastair because of Rod's Scottish roots."
Stunning Penny said having her baby - which is her first and Rod's seventh - in the water was the most "empowering" experience of her life.
After the birth two weeks ago, she said: "It means so much to Rod and I that we were able to keep to our birthing plan and have our baby naturally. It was the most empowering and spiritual experience of my life."
Rod added in a statement: "I am so very proud of my girl Pen for the commitment, courage and strength she showed throughout.
"We are celebrating every moment with our beautiful boy, we just can't take our eyes off him."
