Scarlett Johansson says her relationship with Jared Leto is doomed - because they rarely see each other.

The stunning actress has been romancing the Hollywood heartthrob since last year, but worries their relationship doesn't have a future.

The blonde beauty said in an interview with Britain's Now magazine: "It's a fact of life that in my business it's almost impossible to keep a relationship permanent. I get upset at the thought because I know it can lead to loneliness.

"But another part of me has to accept that's the way things are going to be. I'm already an independent girl and I've got used to doing things in my own way."

However, the 20-year-old star says she's cherishing every moment with Jared, 33 - because of his life experience.

She added: "He's very special. I've always been interested in older men because of their experience and lived-in look. He's seen a lot of life growing up and didn't have an easy time of it. He came to Los Angeles with nothing - now look at him."
