'EastEnders' stalwart Sharon Rickman is set to return to Albert Square after giving birth to her late husband's son.
The blonde, better known as Sharon Watts, has been living in the US since her husband, Dennis Rickman, was murdered in a gangland battle with Johnny Allen.
News will reach the Square that Sharon, played by actress Letitia Dean, has had a baby boy and spark hopes among her friends that she could return.
A show source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "The Fowlers will receive a call from the States with news that Sharon has had a baby boy. There will be delight in Walford especially as Sharon could be on her way back. Phil Mitchell is over the moon at the news. He'd love to make a go of it with her if she does finally return."
It is believed Sharon will name her baby Dennis as a tribute to her deceased husband and father 'Dirty' Den, who was murdered by his wife Chrissie Watts.
Actress Letitia could return at Christmas after previously admitting she would be open to return to the soap.
