IOT Testing
Iot provides the biggest software development and testing opportunity of all time.

IoT development is expected to significantly increase the scope of Internet of Things testing. According to a 2015 Business Insider Intelligence report, IoT will surpass the combined demand for smartphone, tablet, PC, wearables and connected cars. It is expected that enterprises would be the most eager adapters of IoT initiatives and that together, they will create more than 23 billion connected devices in the next four years.
IoT testing is extremely essential in identifying future challenges. For example, prior to actual deployment, IoT-enabled medical devices must be tested for wireless connectivity scenarios and it must be ensured that their designs comply with strict medical regulations.
The identification of the potential issues of software help enterprises shape the design of their products. Software testing will need to cover bases such as what happens to data when a connection is unexpectedly dropped? Other real-world testing, such as walking around in an RF-saturated environment while switching between connections, will be essential.
This makes automation crucial to designing, planning and implementing IoT testing. With a whole new set of development and testing requirements, IoT is set to remind us when mobile phones and tablets took off in the early 2000s.
