Soap actress Kerry Stacey has been declared bankrupt after attempting to support her own drama school in Nottingham.
According to reports in The People, Stacey, who played Tonicha Daggert in Emmerdale, has been issued with bankruptcy orders by Nottingham County Court which relate to her acting business/casting company.
The actress opened her own drama school in July 2008 after deciding that she wanted to offer young hopefuls the best chance at success in the industry.
At her school's launch, she said: "I want to give back as much as possible. I want to help people find work."
Stacey landed her role in Emmerdale in 2005 after she attended an ITV acting workshop.
Her character left the Yorkshire village in 2007 after she split from the local veterinary surgeon Paddy Kirk, played by Dominic Brunt.
