It has finally been confirmed that Cheryl Cole will be a new judge on the American version of the X Factor.
A statement confirmed the news, which comes after months of speculation about who will appear on the panel for the all-new show.
Cheryl, who will join judges Simon Cowell and Antonio 'LA' Reid, said:
"Im so excited to be taking part in the American version of The X Factor. I absolutely love it here in the UK, and with the talent they have out in America, Im sure were going to find someone very special
"I cant wait to get started. I just cant decide whether I am more excited to find and nurture the talent or for the unbelievable amount of amusement and entertainment I will have watching Simon doing everything and anything he can to beat me.
"Hes tried to beat me for three years in the UK, and hasnt even come close. His ego must be so bruised. America is gonna love this."
Cole has proved a skilled judge on the X Factor so far, winning the UK version of the programme twice, first with Alexandra Burke in 2008 and in 2009 with Joe McElderry.
This confirmation about her role on the show comes just days before auditions are to begin in The States.
The US Factor is set to be the biggest and best yet, with the winner bagging a recording contract worth $5million.
