Pop singer Robbie Williams is ready to sell his mansion, even if means taking a £1m loss.
The former Take That icon wants to return to Los Angeles with his American actress girlfriend Ayda Field in time to enjoy Christmas.
Williams paid nearly £8.5 million for 18th century Compton Bassett House in February.
On its expansive grounds there is a helicopter hangar, temples and fountains. It has been revealed that the estate uses so much electricity that it has its own substation.
Williams had intended to use the home as his base while promoting his new album, 'Reality Killed the Video Star'.
Scrapping those plans, he reportedly asked his estate agent to drop the price in order to make a quick sale.
A source told The Sun: "Robbie is desperate to get things moving quickly rather than hang around just to get a bit more money. Being settled back in the States quickly with Ayda is more important to him.
"He's already got a few people interested in the mansion."
Williams has previously admitted that the seven-bedroom house near Calne, Wilts, was an "impulse buy" when he returned to Britain after five years in America.
After originally hoping to settle down and have children there, he has admitted that he struggling to afford it.
The singer, who has sold 55 million albums worldwide, said: "I can't really afford to keep it. Maintenance is a lot. I've done a few impulse buys and it leaves you no money."
