The UK Government has recently awarded Worcestershire County Council £3.3million to push the roll-out of 5G technology in the county. The roll-out will focus on rural areas and is set to begin on April 1.
Under the scheme, the West Mercia Rural 5G project will test and trial the benefits of the next-generation mobile network. Other partners involved in the project include local NHS organisations and Shropshire Council as well as Airband and Three, which will plan, build and operate the 5G network.
