For travel cancellation, gather documents that your insurer will need to verify if your reason is valid. For loss or damaged luggage, you will need to present flight tickets, confirmed itinerary, and correspondence from your airline or travel agent to your insurer. You will also need to present receipts or proof of ownership. If your valuables were stolen, you will also need a copy of police report.
